Eczema patients often suffer in silence. As a result, they may have poor access to the health care they need to improve their quality of life.
ESC is committed to raising awareness about eczema. Our goal is to help the general public, government, and drug plan payers (both private and public) understand the burden of this disease, current gaps in care, and needs of our patient community.
If policymakers have more knowledge and awareness about eczema, they can make better decisions that will impact and improve our lives.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Advocating for yourself, your loved ones, and those in your community, is an important part of making sure that decision-makers have the right information when making plans that impact patients.
In 2017, ESC conducted a patient survey resulting in two reports, the Patients Insights Report, representing mild-to-moderate patients, and the Quality of Life Report, representing moderate-to severe patients. These reports can help start the discussion to address the impact of this disease on Canadians.
