Les personnes qui vivent du stress en raison de leur ecz\u00e9ma se tournent souvent vers leur dermatologue ou leur m\u00e9decin de famille. Le m\u00e9decin peut se concentrer sur les strat\u00e9gies m\u00e9dicales de prise en charge de l\u2019ecz\u00e9ma, mais il y a souvent des difficult\u00e9s d\u2019une autre nature qui n\u00e9cessitent une intervention autre que m\u00e9dicale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Voici quelques-unes des r\u00e9percussions \u00e9motionnelles de l\u2019ecz\u00e9ma :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sentiment d\u2019embarras ou impression que les autres nous d\u00e9visagent<\/li>\n<li>Sentiment d\u2019impuissance, de col\u00e8re et de frustration, en particulier en raison des d\u00e9mangeaisons et du grattage<\/li>\n<li>Sentiment d\u2019isolement social, d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 ou sautes d\u2019humeur<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Globalement, ces difficult\u00e9s peuvent g\u00e9n\u00e9rer du stress, de l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 ou m\u00eame mener \u00e0 la d\u00e9pression. Le fait de consulter un psychologue ou un professionnel en sant\u00e9 mentale qui comprend ces probl\u00e8mes peut nous aider \u00e0 composer avec ces sentiments. Il existe des ressources dans chaque province qui peuvent vous mettre en contact avec une personne en mesure de vous venir en aide. Votre fournisseur de soins primaires peut aussi vous aider \u00e0 trouver des services dans votre r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le stress d\u00e9clenche-t-il des pouss\u00e9es d&rsquo;ecz\u00e9ma?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il existe un lien entre le stress et de nombreux probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9. Il est important d\u2019\u00eatre conscient de ce lien, et de prendre soin de vous quand vous vous sentez particuli\u00e8rement stress\u00e9(e). Le stress peut effectivement provoquer une pouss\u00e9e d\u2019ecz\u00e9ma, mais le simple fait de vivre avec une maladie chronique est stressant en soi! La relaxation, l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique, les conversations entre amis, ou simplement faire quelque chose d\u2019amusant ou de plaisant peuvent aider \u00e0 diminuer le stress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quels sont les d\u00e9fis couramment associ\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;ecz\u00e9me?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les adultes et les enfants atteints d\u2019ecz\u00e9ma vivent souvent des choses qui peuvent les faire se sentir mal. En voici des exemples :<\/p>\n<p>Troubles du sommeil \u2013 Il peut \u00eatre tr\u00e8s frustrant de se r\u00e9veiller au milieu de la nuit en raison des d\u00e9mangeaisons. Cela fait souvent perdre de bonnes heures de sommeil. Quand on dort mal, on est souvent irritable le jour suivant, on a plus tendance \u00e0 avoir des maux de t\u00eate et on a plus de difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes du quotidien. Les enfants ecz\u00e9mateux qui ne dorment pas emp\u00eachent souvent toutes les personnes de la maisonn\u00e9e de dormir. Le manque de sommeil peut nuire au bien-\u00eatre \u00e9motionnel de ces enfants, mais aussi \u00e0 celui des parents et des fr\u00e8res et soeurs.<\/p>\n<p>Probl\u00e8mes de gestion de la douleur et des d\u00e9mangeaisons \u2013 L\u2019ecz\u00e9ma peut d\u00e9manger beaucoup et peut m\u00eame entra\u00eener des douleurs, ce qui peut occuper toutes les pens\u00e9es des personnes atteintes. Les d\u00e9mangeaisons et la douleur constantes sont source de distraction et peuvent nuire \u00e0 l&rsquo;accomplissement de leurs t\u00e2ches quotidiennes et de leur travail. Les personnes qui les subissent peuvent \u00eatre plus \u00e9motives, car elles vivent de la frustration et sont victimes de fatigue en raison de leur maladie. Probl\u00e8mes d\u2019estime de soi \u2013 Il est possible de se sentir moins en contr\u00f4le en raison de l\u2019ecz\u00e9ma (p. ex. incapacit\u00e9 d\u2019arr\u00eater de se gratter). On peut m\u00eame se sentir moins attirant(e) en raison des changements que la peau a subis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment peut-on soulager les d\u00e9mangeaisons associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;ecz\u00e9ma?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il est tr\u00e8s difficile d\u2019\u00e9viter de se gratter quand l\u2019envie surgit, ce qui peut entra\u00eener un sentiment d\u2019impuissance. La bonne nouvelle, c\u2019est que certaines choses peuvent \u00eatre faites pour r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9mangeaisons. Le traitement ad\u00e9quat de l\u2019ecz\u00e9ma pour pr\u00e9venir les pouss\u00e9es r\u00e9duira les d\u00e9mangeaisons. Les sachets r\u00e9frig\u00e9rants, les douches froides, l\u2019application d\u2019un hydratant quand la peau est s\u00e8che et d\u00e9mange et le fait de se distraire sont des strat\u00e9gies qui peuvent aider. Les soins pr\u00e9ventifs, comme l\u2019hydratation quotidienne, peuvent aussi diminuer les d\u00e9mangeaisons. Faire une activit\u00e9 amusante, respirer profond\u00e9ment ou essayer une technique de relaxation sont d\u2019autres id\u00e9es pouvant aider.<\/p>\n<p>Les personnes ecz\u00e9mateuses traversent couramment des p\u00e9riodes difficiles dans leur vie \u2013 que ce soit en raison de leur maladie ou de facteurs ext\u00e9rieurs.
