Ce manque de sommeil peut entra\u00eener un \u00e9puisement, du stress et influer n\u00e9gativement sur la sant\u00e9 mentale. Ce qui n&rsquo;aide pas, c&rsquo;est que le stress et la fatigue peuvent d\u00e9clencher encore plus de pouss\u00e9es, nous laissant pris dans un cycle sans fin. Alors, pourquoi les d\u00e9mangeaisons sont-elles pires la nuit, et que pouvons-nous faire?<\/p>\n<p>La SCE a eu la chance de poser la question au D<sup>r<\/sup> Mark Kirchhof (Ph. D., FRCPC, FAAD), dermatologue d\u2019Ottawa, lors d\u2019un r\u00e9cent webinaire. Voici ce qu\u2019il a r\u00e9pondu : \u00ab La sensation de d\u00e9mangeaisons met en jeu des composantes neurologiques et physiologiques. Durant le jour, les stimuli sont plus nombreux et on pourrait porter moins attention aux signaux de d\u00e9mangeaisons (p. ex. le contact de nos v\u00eatements sur la peau est une distraction continuelle pour nos nerfs). Mais quand on va au lit, le calme et l\u2019immobilit\u00e9 permettent \u00e0 nos nerfs d\u2019envoyer plus librement des signaux de d\u00e9mangeaisons, ce qui augmente le grattage. Malheureusement, plus on se gratte et plus les d\u00e9mangeaisons augmentent. La bonne nouvelle, c&rsquo;est qu\u2019il existe des moyens de r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9mangeaisons \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Voici quelques astuces pour r\u00e9duire les d\u00e9mangeaisons nocturnes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hydratez-vous avant le dodo :<\/strong> Essayez de prendre un bain relaxant dans de l&rsquo;eau ti\u00e8de (jamais chaude!), puis hydratez votre peau pour emprisonner l\u2019humidit\u00e9 et apaiser la peau.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00c9vitez les tissus rugueux :<\/strong> Que ce soit pour les v\u00eatements de nuit ou la literie, \u00e9vitez les tissus irritants \u2013 le coton est habituellement plus doux pour la peau.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Baissez la temp\u00e9rature de votre chambre \u00e0 coucher : <\/strong>La transpiration et l&rsquo;exc\u00e8s de chaleur peuvent provoquer ou intensifier les d\u00e9mangeaisons, alors le fait de dormir dans une pi\u00e8ce fra\u00eeche peut aider.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gardez vos ongles courts :<\/strong> Des ongles courts et bien lim\u00e9s endommageront moins la peau lors du grattage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>S\u2019il est difficile de vous endormir ou de rester endormi en raison des d\u00e9mangeaisons, parlez \u00e0 votre professionnel de la sant\u00e9 pour savoir comment les r\u00e9duire et prendre en charge vos sympt\u00f4mes, et consultez nos ressources r\u00e9centes portant sur les <a href=\"\/fr\/vivre-avec-leczema\/composer-avec-les-demangeaisons-associees-a-la-dermatite-atopique\/\">d\u00e9mangeaisons associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019ecz\u00e9ma<\/a> pour en.<\/p>\n<p>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne de l\u2019ecz\u00e9ma (SCE) remercie le D<sup>r<\/sup> Mark Kirchhof (Ph.
