ESC is pleased to announce the recipients of our 2019 Research Grant Program. We received applications from researchers from with leading universities across Canada.

This year’s winners are:

  • Dr. Yuka Asai of Queen’s University for her project titled “Impact of Dermatology Clinic Establishment on Healthcare Utilization of Eczema Patients”
  • Dr. David Granville of the University of British Columbia for his project titled “A Novel Therapeutic Approach for Atopic Dermatitis”

“We are thrilled to award these deserving researchers with our grant, and commend them for their dedication to improving outcomes for Canadians impacted by eczema,” said Amanda Cresswell-Melville, Executive Director, ESC.

The focus of the Research Grant Program is to facilitate research that aims to improve care and quality of life for eczema sufferers. Specific areas of focus may include, but are not limited to, atopic dermatitis, hand eczema, and contact dermatitis.
