Who we are

About ESC

“I discovered ESC when my children were both suffering with the condition. I found the organization through a simple web search—I reached out, and someone reached back. The thought of support from peers who understood what we were going through was transformative for both our family and for ESC, as a few short years later I would lead the organization through significant growth, allowing ESC to better serve Canadians across the country who, like us, were struggling with this challenging condition.”

Amanda Cresswell-Melville
Executive Director, Eczema Society of Canada

While the organization has evolved since those early days, our mission has remained the same: support, education, awareness, advocacy, and research. ESC puts our mission into action in all activities, with empathy, respect, and caring at the core of what we do. We’re here to help.

Mission

ESC is dedicated to meeting the needs of those suffering with eczema through support, education, raising awareness, advocating for patients, and ongoing research activities. As well, ESC has a strong commitment to the continuing support of the medical community.

Vision

To realize a future where no one suffers from eczema.

Values

Educating with evidence

ESC delivers patient-centric, evidence-based, and expert-led content, ensuring patients and caregivers have access to accurate, respectful, and quality information about eczema.

Supporting with compassion

ESC cares deeply about helping Canadians living with eczema find support, share their lived experiences, and honour the diversity and uniqueness of each individual eczema journey.

Advocating through awareness

ESC believes in advocating for the needs of eczema sufferers, raising awareness among decision-makers to help them better understand the burden of living with eczema, and championing equitable access to care and treatments.

Board of Directors

Improving the lives of Canadians living with eczema is at the core of our mission and our team of talented and dedicated professionals makes that a reality.
