ESC announces 2022 Research Grant recipients

Eczema Society of Canada (ESC) is pleased to announce two recipients of the 2022 competitive Research Grant Program (RGP) for eczema research and educational projects. One $25,000 grant is awarded to Dr. Yuka Asai of Queens University at Kingston for her project entitled Patient Eczema Education Pictorial Study (PEEPS).

Another $25,000 grant is awarded to Dr. Michele Ramien of The University of Calgary for her project entitled AToPY+ – Atopy Treatment Pathway for Youth + Families: Improving Patient and Disease Outcomes with Coordinated Care.

ESC board member and RGP chair Dr. Mariam Abbas shares how important eczema research and educational programs are to the Canadian dermatology landscape and to improving patient care.

“Both of the 2022 ESC Research Grant Program recipients are very deserving of funding, as they will both directly impact patient education and care.”
